Leopard Shark

Description

A type of houndshark, the leopard shark can be found all along the Pacific coast of North America and Mexico. Although they are relatively small in comparison to many types of requiem shark, they can still grow to be five feet long.

They are sometimes caught by commercial fisheries and recreational fishers, but it is unknown if such activities have a strong effect on their global population.
