Dinosaur Facts
Alligators have broad snouts and up to 80 teeth. They build burrows for shelter and hibernate when temperatures fall below 20?C (68?F). Babies are called juveniles and look like their parents except they have yellow and black bands so they blend in with their surroundings. The name alligator comes from the Spanish word, el lagarto, meaning “the lizard”.
